- Malabsorption Syndrome
- SYMPTOMS. Signs may include any one or more of diarrhea, bleeding tendency,
- bone pain, weakness, loss of weight, tongue may be sore, cramps in muscles,
- skin scaling and protruberant abdomen.
- CAUSES may include malabsorption that is drug induced, a chronic disease
- that impairs absorption of some vitamins and fats, parasitic disease and
- gland disorders that impairs absorption of nutrients in the small intestine.
- TREATMENT. Examination and laboratory tests, including stool tests, are
- required to determine the cause and necessary treatment.
